EagleShield Joins the No Spray Day Initiative: Our Commitment to Eco-Friendly Pest Control

At EagleShield Pest Control, our commitment to protecting your home extends beyond just eliminating pests; it also encompasses safeguarding our environment. That’s why we are proud to announce that we have joined the No Spray Day initiative, a pioneering program aimed at promoting environmentally friendly pest management practices.

What is No Spray Day?

No Spray Day is an initiative spearheaded by the Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District, designed to reduce the impact of pesticides on our waterways. The program encourages residents and businesses to refrain from using pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers on specified days. This is especially crucial before forecasted heavy rains, to prevent these chemicals from washing into our storm drains and ultimately contaminating our water systems.

EagleShield’s Commitment

Joining the No Spray Day initiative is a natural step for EagleShield. As a leader in the pest control industry, we have always prioritized the use of eco-friendly and sustainable practices. Our approach includes:

Integrated Pest Management (IPM): We employ IPM strategies that focus on long-term prevention and control of pests while minimizing environmental impact. This includes using mechanical and physical controls, and biological agents.

Eco-Friendly Products: Where necessary, we use environmentally safe products that are effective against pests but less harmful to other wildlife and ecosystems.

Education and Awareness: We believe in educating our customers about sustainable pest control practices. By understanding the role each person plays in environmental protection, we can collectively make a significant impact.

How We Implement No Spray Day

By participating in the No Spray Day initiative, EagleShield will align our spraying schedules with the guidelines provided by the Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District. On days identified as No Spray Days, we will not perform any chemical treatments. Instead, we will focus on other aspects of pest control that do not involve chemical applications, such as:

Physical Barriers and Repairs: Sealing entry points or fixing structural damages that allow pests to enter a building.

Traps and Baits: Utilizing non-chemical methods to control pest populations.

Maintenance and Prevention Tips: Providing advice on how to maintain properties in a way that deters pests naturally.

Join Us in Making a Difference

We encourage our clients and the wider community to join us in this initiative. By participating in No Spray Day, not only do you contribute to reducing the pollutant load in our water systems, but you also help in fostering a healthier environment for future generations.
